Why us the term Tocaboires?
This Catalan expression embodies the action of “touching fog”, and is used as a descriptive feature for an individual who gets excited with the seemingly impossible or strange.
And that, as rare as it may seem, is our philosophy of life and work methodology.
We can’t deny it, we are freaks who love to let our imagination soar.
So much so that we’ve devoted twenty years to illustrating all of the impossibles that dare
cross our minds.
Com ja sabeu, un tocaboires es una persona que s’il·lusiona fàcilment amb coses impossibles o fantàstiques, un somiatruites de mena.
I, encara que pugui semblar extrany, aquesta és la nostra filosofía de vida i la nostra feina.
Som un freaks, no ho negarem, ens encanta fer volar la nostra imaginació i per això portem més de vint anys il·lustrant totes les coses impossibles que se’ns acudeixen.
Pol Serra
It isn’t only a vocation or occupation, but more so a passion. When I learnt to draw, a thrilling and brand-new world opened before me where anything was possible. I just had to imagine it.
I am an illustrator, painter, handicraftsman and avid aficionado of sweets during my free time. I have worked for the editorial sector and the press, as well as exhibited my works in multiple galleries and art fairs.
These last years I have combined my work with education as an anatomy professor. This has enabled me to share my experience and craziness.
Per mi no és només una vocació, és la meva passió. Quan vaig aprendre a dibuixar es va obrir davant meu un món apassionant on tot era possible, només calia imaginar-ho.
Sóc il·lustrador, pintor, artesà i golafre sense remei en el meu temps lliure. He treballat pel sector editorial i de premsa a més d’exposar a galeries i fires d’art.
Aquest últims anys he alternat la meva feina amb la docència com a professor d’anatomia. Això m’ha permès compartir la meva experiència i bogeries amb ells.
Montse Rubio (aka Montse Luna)
My first memories have always been with coloured pencils in hand whilst a white canvas challenges my imagination.
I am a juvenile illustrator and I mainly work for the editorial sector, although I do also jump at any opportunity that presents crazy adventures. I’ve illustrated love-struck dragons, spaceships, magical porcupines and countless of other strange and impossible things.
I love to share my passion for colour (especially water colours) with my alumni, and in my workshops, as in life, I am a fervent defender of teaching in a unique manner to make learning delightful and enjoyable.
Els primers records que tinc sempre son amb uns llapis de colors a la mà i una pared blanca desafiant la meva imaginació.
Sóc il·lustradora juvenil i treballo principalment pel sector editorial, encara que m’engresco amb qualsevol nova aventura que se’m proposi. He il·lustrat dracs enamorats, naus espacials, porc espins màgics i una llarga llista de coses estranyes i impossibles.
M’encanta compartir la meva passió pel color, i sobretot per l’aquarel·la, amb els meus alumnes. Als meus tallers, com a la vida, soc una defensora aferrissada de la famosa màxima “instruir i delectar”.

El nostre espai de treball
All of our work spaces are purposefully adapted to the different artistic techniques that we implement.
We also have work spaces dedicated to group work and ample stations containing natural light.
More often than not we are in the company of a hot infusion and groovy sound track.
Els nostres espais de feina estan adaptats a les diferents tècniques artístiques que fem servir.
També tenim espais per treballar en grup i molt llum natural.
Sovint ens acompanya una infusió calenta i una bona banda sonora.
